Children in Years 5 and 6 are in Class 4; our teacher is Mrs Worland and our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Ball.
Year 6’s have the opportunity to earn the important positions of House Captains and Sports Captains. They are responsible for many things, such as organising Friday Reward Assembly, which is a celebration of the children’s achievements inside and outside of school.
In Class 4 homework takes on a greater importance for us as we are preparing for SATs as well as moving on to secondary school. There is an increased focus on key parts of the curriculum so that we achieve the skills that we need to progress to secondary school.
“We have been in all of the classes and Class 4 is the best. We work hard as work becomes more serious and more important to us. (We strive to excel in our work)”
“Class 4 is amazing; it has a wide range of facilities for all subjects. We love the wide range of books and genres. We love our class readers and when we write stories our imaginations go wild!”
“We learn something new everyday.”
“Class 4 is a friendly, fun class.”
“Mrs Worland is firm but fair; mostly she is funny and she makes us laugh. She always likes us to work to our full potential.”
